Blogger Quilt Festival

WOW!! I did not know what I was getting into when I entered the cyberquilting world. There is so much information and so many creative people!!! I am posting one of my very first quilts. I made it for my youngest daughter. She really loves it. In fact, she went to bed one night without it and I walked past her room and I saw her fingers sticking out under the door and she was quietly saying, "Mommma, my wilt. Mommmmmmmm-a, my wilt!!" She was so happy when I put it ove her!! It took me a year and a half to make because I was very overwhelmed. There is a lot to learn about quilting and I guess I jumped in to deep. But I decided to persevere in the last month or so and do a little sewing everyday. And this is one of the end results. I hope you like it. The pattern is from Country Woman magazine called wiggly worm quilt.
I am posting this at the Blogger's Quilt Festival site - here is the link (I hope this works!!)

I hope you enjoy looking at all the quilts as much as I did.

  1. And what an amazing 'Wilt' it is!!! Oh, I really love it, and I can tell it has special 'sweet dreams' powers sewn into the binding!
Thank you so much for sharing!

  3. Oh, thank you soooooo much!!! I can't take credit for the colors, though. My sil wanted us to make the same quilts for her daughter and my youngest (3 months apart) and she picked the colors. I helped a little, insofar as I showed her how to "find" the colors. But she did all the matching. Many thanks though!! :) :) :)

  4. This is a great quilt for a child and I love the block highlights around the segments.
